2nd year - Senior Animation course - Focusing on 3 Dimensional Animation
Through the one-year Freestyle Animation programs, students learn how to utilize technology to create 2D and 3D animation, mostly focusing on 3 dimensional animation. Students will learn how to use state-of-the-art computers, high-tech equipment and the latest industry standard software programs, such as Autodesk Maya, Maxon Zbrush, Adobe Substance Painter, Unreal Game engine, Adobe Photoshop, After effects, Shadow Motion capture / Rococo Motion Capture and more, enabling them to create digital illustrations, which can be turned into cartoons, animated images, special effects and 3D images. Graduates may continue to study 2D/3D animation in art colleges to become an illustrator or a digital artist for the animation or video game industry. Courses include the following topics:
- 3D Modeling, Texturing
- Digital Lighting, Rendering, Compositing
- 2D to 3D Character Development
- 3D Character Rigging / Key frame Animation
- 3D Camera layout and animation
- Simple game character animation
- Motion Capture Animation
- 3D Facial / Lip-sync Animation
- 3D Animation short film production
