M2//S2 P2.1 Module 2 Intro

Welcome to Module 2! 

This Module will focus on algorithms and their biases, empowering audiences with the skills they need to protect themselves from mis- and disinformation and fostering different forms of collaboration to advocate for media and information literacy. But also on how to protect audiences and the people featured in online content from hate speech and discrimination.

Additionally you will learn about different tools to create Short-form video content. We will be using LinkedIn Learning to explore these tools that you will use to create your videos. Ultimately, you will find one that works best for you, but you are asked to use each to fully explore the pros and cons. 

Over the next 12 weeks, you will create 6 short-form videos on a topic that is assigned to you. You may state your preference in the Story Ideas Discussion, but the content must be approved by your Site Supervisory/Teacher.

Please complete this module's activities before the end of the quarter (Friday March 18, 2025, 9:00PM). This includes watching the video lectures, doing the readings, participating in the forums and completing the quiz. All assignments for this Module will close at 9:00PM on Friday March 18th, 2025.
