Strong choice of subject, evident concept and development of an artistic idea | Effective choice of subject and concept. Some evidence of careful planning and concept. | Subject is convenient or arbitrary and there is little evidence of a concept or idea for the portrait. | Subject is random and the image does not convey any emotion or personality. | |
All 3 portraits are carefully captured, edited, and produced. The editing supports the emotion and personality of the subject and the pose. | Some of the portraits are carefully edited and enhance the person portrayed, story told, or emotion of the image. | One of the images is well done and edited meaningfully. The others are inadequate to meet the standards of this assignment. | 3 images were submitted, but not well thought out or edited. |
