In order to prepare for your Senior Showcase Presentation, please read carefully all parts of the assignment (including the schedule and rubric, which are linked in the document).
It is recommended that you start by writing an outline of the 5-minute opening segment of your Showcase. Of course, you'll need to plan how you will show your work visually and make sure your slides/visuals align with what you plan to say. You also need to prepare specific questions for your panelists based on what you've researched about their work (which is part of the following 10-minute Q+A segment). The names of your panelists are noted in the schedule. Please contact your media elective teacher if you need help obtaining information about your panelists.
You must prepare all parts of your presentation, including your slides/visuals, for feedback from Mr. Florendo and the sub on May 23. You will also do another rehearsal with your media elective teacher. They will give you more specific guidance about what they want you to do.
Set aside ample time to practice on your own as well. You should be able to deliver the presentation and recall your questions for panelists with little-to-no reference to notes. That's to say, your practice as well as your passion for and knowledge of your work should allow you to speak confidently from memory.
You've already rated students with this rubric. Any major changes could affect their assessment results.
